Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Maison Veloria ("we", "us", "our") operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services (the "Services"). Our store is powered by Shopify. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share your personal information when you visit, use or make a purchase through the Services, or otherwise contact us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy prevails with respect to your personal information.
Personal information we collect
"Personal information" means any information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Contact details: your name, billing and delivery address, phone number and email address.
- Payment information: payment card and transaction details, payment method and payment confirmation. Card payments are processed securely by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
- Account information: login details, preferences and settings, if you create an account.
- Order and transaction information: items you view, add to your basket, buy, return, exchange or cancel, and your order history.
- Communications: information you give us when you contact customer service.
- Device and usage information: your device, browser, network connection, IP address and how you interact with the Services.
Where we get it from
- Directly from you, when you place an order, create an account, sign up to our emails or contact us.
- Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies when you use the Services.
- From service providers who help us run the Services (for example payments, delivery and analytics).
- From marketing partners, such as advertising platforms.
How we use your personal information and our lawful bases
- To process and deliver your order, take payment, handle returns and refunds and provide customer service (performance of a contract).
- To run, secure and improve the Services, prevent fraud and keep your account safe (our legitimate interests).
- To send you marketing emails, if you have signed up, and to show you personalised advertising, for example on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To comply with the law, for example tax and accounting obligations and requests from public authorities (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
- Shopify and other service providers that act on our behalf, such as payment processors, delivery companies, our product suppliers (to fulfil your order), IT, hosting and analytics providers.
- Advertising and marketing partners, such as Meta, to measure and personalise our ads. These partners use your information in line with their own privacy notices.
- Third parties when you ask us to, or when required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger.
We do not sell your personal information.
Shopify
Our Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. In some cases Shopify acts as an independent controller of that information. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can exercise certain rights over data processed by Shopify at the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the store work, remember your basket, understand how the Services are used and, with your consent, measure and personalise advertising. You can manage your choices through our cookie banner and your browser settings.
International transfers
We are based in Spain, and our service providers may process your information outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where we do, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, unless the destination country has been found to provide adequate protection.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, for example to manage your orders and account, meet our legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please do not send sensitive information through unsecured channels.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to: access your personal information; correct it; have it deleted; restrict or object to its processing; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within one month.
Children
The Services are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK at ico.org.uk, or to your local data protection authority in the EEA.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date.
